CLDA Membership Categories
Regular Carrier Members
Regular Carrier Members are organizations operating as customized logistics and delivery motor carriers, freight forwarders, freight brokers, or third-party logistics providers (3PLs). If your company falls into one of these categories, join CLDA as a Regular Carrier Member.
Regular Carrier Members have voting rights and may hold elected office in the Association.
Motor Carrier – An organization registered with the DOT and applicable state authority as an interstate or intrastate motor carrier that directly transports freight or parcels.
Freight Forwarder – An organization that provides logistics services as an intermediary between the shipper and carrier, typically involving international shipments. Freight forwarders help customers respond efficiently to changing transportation needs and import/export requirements.
Freight Broker – An individual or company that serves as an intermediary between a business or individual requiring shipping services and an authorized motor carrier. Freight brokers facilitate the movement of freight but do not operate as the shipper or motor carrier.
3PL (Third-Party Logistics Provider) – A company that provides outsourced logistics services such as distribution, warehousing, transportation management, and fulfillment. A 3PL may manage one or more aspects of a customer’s logistics or supply chain operations.
Shipper Members
Shipper Members are businesses that own or control the goods being shipped, including retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and other organizations that purchase or manage transportation services.
Shipper Members are non-voting members and may hold elected office in the Association.
Affiliate Members
Affiliate Members are businesses that provide products or services to the logistics and delivery industry.
Affiliate Members are non-voting members and may hold elected office in the Association.
Driver Members
Driver Members are independent contractors working in the customized logistics and delivery industry.
Driver Members are non-voting members and may not hold elected office in the Association.
International Regular Carrier Members
International Regular Carrier Members are customized logistics and delivery motor carriers, freight forwarders, freight brokers, or 3PLs located outside the United States and Canada.
International companies that provide products or services to the logistics and delivery industry, rather than carrier or logistics services, should join CLDA as Affiliate Members.
Regular Carrier Members located outside the United States and Canada are subject to the Regular Carrier Member dues schedule.
International members that require a membership letter and certificate for use in their country may purchase this documentation for $750 through the CLDA Member Portal. An active CLDA membership is required to purchase international documentation.
Membership Terms
Membership Year. All CLDA memberships expire on December 31, regardless of the date of application, unless otherwise stated as part of a promotional offer or special circumstance. Membership renewal terms run from January 1 through December 31.
Fees. All membership fees are paid in U.S. dollars. Standard Carrier Member dues are determined by revenue, stated in U.S. dollars, from U.S.-based distribution, warehousing, delivery, and fulfillment activities. Please refer to the individual membership categories for current dues rates.
Non-Refundable. Membership dues are non-refundable.
2026–27 Limited-Time Membership Offers
New Member Offer
New members who join CLDA for 2027 between September 1 and November 30, 2026 will receive special benefits available during this promotional period.
For this promotion, New Members include:
• Organizations joining CLDA for the first time; and
• Former CLDA members who were not active members in either 2025 or 2026.
New Members pay their full 2027 membership dues when joining and receive:
• The remainder of 2026 membership at no additional cost, providing immediate access to CLDA membership benefits through December 31, 2026.

Members who were active in 2025 or 2026 and renew or rejoin CLDA for 2027 between August 1 and November 30, 2026 will receive:

Following renewal confirmation, the FMF27 discount code will be sent to the email address associated with the member account.
