The Convention Committee aims to produce a superior annual meeting at an affordable price and at an attractive location. The committee’s goal is to educate members and allow them to network and learn from others in the industry. The committee will strive to create a strong value proposition, where attendees feel the event was worth more than their investment and provides enhanced value that they will return each year.

The Executive Leadership Summit Committee is responsible for putting together the ELS event, a skills development boot camp designed to offer practical working knowledge to c-suite executives, young professionals and managers in the leadership pipeline. This is a working group and highly interactive and participation based. The ELS committee hopes to attract executives and future leaders from final mile industry organizations, vendors and shippers to share insights, learn from one another, and further engage with the industry.

The Government Affairs Committee serves as the voice of CLDA on Capitol Hill, in the 50 state capitals, and within regulatory agencies to advance the interests of the same day expedited delivery industry. This committee proactively takes action on a wide variety of issues. CLDA members interested in politics or who have detailed knowledge of CLDA issues are encouraged to get involved with our many government affairs initiatives. The CLDA Government Affairs Committee meets regularly to discuss issues and determine the appropriate strategy for the industry.

The Shipper Committee specifically recruits the shipping community to join the over 600 last mile transportation providers who are current members in order to:
- Collaborate on continued improvement of efficiency, security and cost containment of the supply chain.
- Increase awareness of technology, insurance and general industry trends.
- Provide networking opportunities
- Generate joint positions and coordinate responses to regulations and legislation that might impact the last mile.
