Summer is in full swing and I want to share what’s happening with your association the first half of 2024. There’s a lot to report since we last connected at February’s Final Mile Forum.
- Dozens of members participated in CLDA’s March DC Fly-in and held more than 50 meetings with elected officials to educate them and deliver key messages on issues that may impact the final mile industry. In partnership with the Coalition for Workforce Innovation (CWI) and on our own, CLDA is getting noticed for our active advocacy involvement.
- The CLDA Board of Directors have met several times this year, most recently in San Diego, the site of FMF 2025. Working with the CLDA Board, we strategized on how to best deliver programs and services of value with our triple focus of education, advocacy and networking. This includes strengthening CLDA’s partnerships and collaborations with other industry organizations in our space.
- To the hundreds of you that responded to the recent CLDA member survey, thank you for sharing your perspectives with us. We hear you, we value your insights and we will focus on how to bring more ROI for your investment in CLDA.
- CLDA is getting noticed through our increased social media presence across all channels, as well as several articles and mentions in industry publications. You don’t already, follow us on LinkedIn.
- With over 100 new members so far this year, an open invitation to join a CLDA committee allows you to connect with other members. Here are some ways to build your business network through CLDA:
- New directory – complete your profile to get your company noticed.
- Virtual roundtables – keeping you connected without cost – free to members.
- FOCUS – the fall virtual event on October 16.
- 2025 Annual Sponsorship and FMF 2025 visibility opportunities – coming soon.
As CLDA’s new executive director, thank you for your warm welcome. I’ve enjoyed meeting some of you and look forward to meeting many more of you soon, either online or in person. Enjoy summer!
