Rob Slack Joins MCAA Hall of Fame

At the Annual Meeting, members of the MCAA gave their highest honor to outgoing board member Rob Slack.  

This is the fourth time the association has presented the award. In the past some 19 individuals have received the honor. MCAA president Chris MacKrell said Slack’s place in the Hall of Fame is well-deserved:  “Rob has always been a tireless advocate for the expedited delivery industry. He has served as MCAA’s president from 2006 to 2008, is a long-time board member and is the recipient of the MCAA’s Distinguished Service award. He may have left the board, but we fully expect he’ll continue his enthusiastic work for the association in the future.”

Rob’s 35 years in the courier business began when he was an IC during his college days at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. His most recent venture is as the founder of NationalDelivery.com, Inc., a nationally owned “Joint Marketing” venture. He also owns a consulting company that specializes in courier operations, acquisitions and independent contractor issues and is the President of SCI, SubContracting Concepts Inc.  

The award is presented when appropriate to an MCAA member who is known and respected in the industry. It seeks to pay tribute those who have made noteworthy contributions to the industry. Rob Slack’s honor comes after nomination by the Awards Committee, headed by Gil Carpel, and voted on by the full membership of MCAA.  “The purpose of the MCAA Hall of Fame is to recognize people who have made a noteworthy contribution to our industry and Rob Slack certainly deserves this honor,” says Carpel.
